Kleinman President Matt Hozza Inducted as President of IREM® Minnesota Chapter

Kleinman is proud to announce that our President, Matthew D. Hozza, CPM®, has been officially inducted as President of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM®) Minnesota Chapter. This honor reflects Matt’s long-standing commitment to the real estate management industry and his passion for strengthening the future of professional property management in Minnesota.

A Leadership Journey Built from the Ground Up

Matt’s career in property management began nearly two decades ago in one of the most hands-on roles in the industry. His first position was as a part-time Resident Manager for a 22-unit apartment building in Saint Paul. He handled leasing, common-area cleaning, lawn care, snow removal, and day-to-day resident support. In exchange, he received a rent credit. These early experiences shaped Matt’s understanding of what great property management looks like: service, responsibility, and leading with people in mind.

Matt joined Kleinman Realty Co. in 2010 and quickly grew within the organization. He moved from Resident Manager to Portfolio Manager and earned his Certified Property Manager (CPM®) designation in 2016 through IREM. Before entering the multifamily housing industry, Matt built a strong foundation in commercial banking, giving him a deep analytical skill set that now guides his leadership at Kleinman.

He is also a licensed real estate salesperson in Minnesota and a graduate of the University of St. Thomas, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Entrepreneurship. While at St. Thomas, he received the Pentair Prize for Student Entrepreneur of the Year, which recognized his drive for innovation and excellence.

As President of Kleinman, Matt leads a 95-year legacy organization dedicated to serving Minnesota property owners and residents with integrity, responsiveness, and a commitment to long-term success. Kleinman is an AMO® accredited, Minnesota-based property management company specializing in multifamily property management, apartment operations, value-add renovations, and owner partnership.

Under Matt’s leadership, Kleinman Property Management has continued to grow its Twin Cities portfolio, expand technology and marketing systems, and elevate the service experience for property owners and residents. His approach blends financial expertise with hands-on property knowledge, creating a balance of strategic insight and operational discipline.

With his induction as President of the IREM Minnesota Chapter, Matt will help support and shape the broader real estate management profession throughout the state. IREM Minnesota is part of an international organization representing more than 20,000 professionals who are advancing the field through education, ethics, and leadership.
